November 15, 2021 British authorities have raised the level of the terrorist threat in the country "from substantial to serious". This was confirmed by the Ministry of the Interior, Priti Patel, at the end of the emergency meeting of the Cobra, convened today in London under the presidency of Prime Minister BorisJohnson, following the explosion of a taxi in front of the Women's Hospital in Liverpool, on the which the police investigate for terrorism.

The decision was made because "it's the second incident" in a month, following the October 15 stabbing to death of Tory Congressman David Amess. Amess was stabbed to death while receiving his constituents by a young British man of Somali descent, referred to after investigations as a maverick inspired by Islamic jihadism.

The Joint Terrorism Analysis Center (JTAC) has now raised the threat level (related to terrorism) from 'substantial' to 'serious' as yesterday's was the second incident in a month "in the Kingdom, Patel said. 'severe' is the fourth highest on a scale of 5 and assumes a "highly probable" risk of attacks.
