According to him, the United States did not receive warnings from the Russian side about weapons testing.

In turn, State Department spokesman Ned Price said at a briefing that Russia had allegedly tested an anti-satellite missile. 

According to him, Washington US intends to work with allies and partners to prepare a response to Russia's "irresponsible actions".

In April 2020, the US Space Forces command announced that the Russian military was testing a DA-ASAT (Direct-ascent anti-satellite) anti-satellite missile. 

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, commenting on these allegations, said that the United States is inventing pretexts to ignore the proposals of the Russian side to create a legal framework to prevent an arms race in space.
