Price said that "these actions of the Lukashenka regime threaten security, sow division and are aimed at diverting attention from Russian actions on the border with Ukraine."

"Secretary of State Blinken and Minister Rau firmly condemned the use of vulnerable migrants as a tool and called on Lukashenko to solve the root cause of the sanctions imposed by the West - the refusal of the Belarusian people to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms," RIA Novosti quotes a statement from a State Department spokesman.

According to him, Blinken "also expressed deep gratitude to Poland for the open support that it expresses to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."

"The United States, Poland and other allies and partners are united in making Moscow pay for its military aggression and detrimental influence in the region," Price added.

Earlier, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell discussed the migration crisis on the Belarusian-Polish border.

The Kremlin noted that no one is going to move towards war because of the conflict in Ukraine and no one accepts the possibility of such a war.

The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stated that de-escalation on the territory of Ukraine can occur only after Kiev refuses provocative actions.

Peskov also said that the Ukrainian side is trying with enviable persistence to present Russia as a party to the conflict, but Moscow is not.
