At 6 pm on Sunday afternoon, the police received a call that someone seemed to hear gunfire in Alingsås. An hour or so later, a man came to Östra Hospital in Gothenburg with a gunshot wound. - It has happened in the central parts of Alingsås, we are in place there with several units now, says Pernilla Henry on duty.
The call came in to the police at 17:54 on Sunday.
A person should have heard screams and what sounds like gunfire.
Later, a gunshot wounded man enters the Eastern Hospital.
- He was shot but it is not a life-threatening injury, says Pernilla Henry.
The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.
No person has been arrested.
