Richard Ratcliffe has been on hunger strike for over 20 days.

He wants to challenge the British government on the fate of his wife, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who is banned from leaving Iran.

A vigil in songs was organized Friday, November 11 in the evening to support him, in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he is camping.

The features drawn, bundled up in a fleece, a cap on his head.

Richard Ratcliffe keeps smiling, in the midst of dozens of people who have come to support him with music, even though his body has been strained for three weeks: “

 Mentally, I still feel clear-headed.

Physically on the other hand, I am much weaker, slower, more cautious.

20 days is starting to do a lot.

Now it's day to day.

I don't think I will be able to be there again next week.

"

Support from relatives, but also from anonymous

He pitched his tent in front of the Foreign Ministry to convince the government to bring his wife back.

Hostage, according to him, because of an old debt claimed by Tehran to the British state.

By his side, he can count on those close to him, such as his 7-year-old daughter, Gabriella, or his brother-in-law: "

Thank you very much for your support during these three complicated weeks ...

 "

But also anonymous people, like Joana: “

I've been following this business for a few years, I don't live far from Richard and Nazanin's.

She's a mom, with a little girl, it's really sad.

And the government is doing nothing.

 "

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has already spent 5 years in prison in Iran and could return soon after a new conviction,

confirmed on appeal

in October.
