The Houthi group said - on Wednesday - that it had targeted with 7 ballistic missiles camps in southern Saudi Arabia and inside Yemen, confirming the killing and wounding of many Saudi officers and soldiers, while the Saudi-led coalition spoke of intercepting 3 missiles, denying news of its withdrawal from southern Yemen.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said that 3 ballistic missiles targeted the camp of the First Regiment in Dhahran Al-Janoub in the Asir region, while two ballistic missiles targeted a coalition training camp west of Taiz, south of Yemen.
He pointed out that two ballistic missiles targeted gatherings of mercenaries (government forces) in Ma'rib Governorate, central Yemen.
The Houthi military spokesman confirmed that large numbers of Saudi officers and soldiers were killed or wounded, led by the commander of the first regiment in Dhahran al-Janoub, without mentioning his name.

Security Council
Meanwhile, the permanent members of the Security Council issued a statement condemning the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, and said that the escalation in Marib must be stopped.
The statement also stated that the Yemeni parties should start a real dialogue for a political solution.
Alliance response
On the other hand, the coalition announced the interception and destruction of 3 ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis towards Saudi Arabia, while the Yemeni army announced that the Houthis had launched 3 ballistic missiles at the city of Mocha, west of Taiz governorate, coinciding with the arrival of the UN envoy Hans Grundberg.
And coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki told Reuters that the circulating reports regarding a Saudi military withdrawal from southern Yemen are baseless and untrue.
He added that the coalition forces are redeploying in line with its strategy to support the Yemeni forces, but they are not withdrawing.
Yemen has been witnessing a war for nearly 7 years, as the Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out military operations since March 2015 in support of government forces in the face of the Iranian-backed Houthis who control several governorates, including the capital, Sanaa.
