In 2019, Fredrik Lundén (M) (then vice chairman of the senior citizens' committee) submitted a motion to the council to buy and place defibrillators at the municipality's service buildings and safe housing.

"Decisive between life and death"

The senior citizens' committee in Linköping has now approved the proposal.

-I am happy that we are now equipping our service houses and municipal sheltered housing with defibrillators, it increases the security for the elderly and their relatives but also for the staff.

Access to pacemakers saves lives where every minute of cardiac arrest is crucial between life and death, says Liselotte Fager (KD), chair of the senior citizens' committee.
