He kills an architect with a samurai sword out of boredom

The brutal killing of a woman "with a samurai sword" in the Turkish city of Istanbul caused a wave of anger among public opinion in Turkey.

Today, Friday, the Demiroren Haber Agence news agency published pictures showing the perpetrator walking in Istanbul armed with a sword.

A short time later, he attacked a 28-year-old woman in the street.

The woman, an architect, later died of her injuries in hospital.

The perpetrator has since been arrested.

According to previous reports, neither the perpetrator nor the victim knew each other.

According to media reports, the 27-year-old perpetrator said after the murder that he wanted to kill someone out of boredom.

He chose a woman to be a victim because a man could have resisted him.

The women's rights organization We Will Stop Femicide has recorded 310 murders of women in Turkey so far this year, with 18 women murdered in September alone.
