The man is convicted on eight counts, including rape and sexual harassment.

The rape is said to have taken place on New Year's Eve 2020. The man is then said to have forced himself into sex by threatening to send a film depicting the woman in a sexual context.

The prosecutor is demanding three years in prison.

In addition to rape, the man is convicted of aggravated assault, harassment, assault, unlawful threats, aggravated theft, minor drug offenses and drunk driving.

Denies crime

- My client denies most of the points and does not think that the evidence was sufficient.

He pleaded guilty to aggravated theft, drug offenses and minor assault.

That was what we expected him to be convicted of, says the man's lawyer, Hjalmar Handstedt.

Prosecutor Sofia Nord replies in an email to SVT that she is satisfied with the verdict.

- I am pleased that the district court has understood my reasoning and that they share my assessment as the defendant is convicted of all charges.

There is therefore no reason for me to appeal in the liability part, she writes.
