There are strict rules at COP26 to keep infection rates down in covid-19.

To enter the arena, you need to show a negative covid test on a daily basis.

Despite this, a person from the Swedish delegation became infected earlier this week.

This is confirmed by Josefin Sasse, press secretary to the Minister of the Environment and Climate, Per Bolund.

- One person was confirmed infected at the beginning of this week.

He is now isolated, says Josefin Sasse.

- No one else from the Swedish delegation has become ill.

"Isolated while waiting for negative test"

SVT:

What measures have you taken?

- Those in the delegation who were close to him were isolated while waiting for a negative PCR test.

No one has been further infected.

Is anyone still isolated?

- Not that I know of.

Has it affected the negotiations?

- No.

Have Per Bolund or Mattias Frumerie had to isolate themselves?

- No.

Josefin Sasse says that the delegation follows rules and restrictions in general during the summit.
