Blinken calls on the parties to the conflict in Ethiopia to begin negotiations

"The Secretary of State reiterated his call to all parties to the conflict, including the Ethiopian government, to immediately enter into serious negotiations to end hostilities," the State Department said in a statement.

Blinken added that humanitarian access to the north of Ethiopia needs to be improved.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Moscow is monitoring the current situation in Ethiopia and calls on all parties to the conflict for a political settlement and a ceasefire.
