- The bronze will be washed and waxed, and the parts that may require repair after the actual disassembly will be repaired on site in Västerås by a metal consultant, says Frej Berglind Drake, curator at Västerås Art Museum.
The museum does not want to say exactly where the sculpture will be defended due to the risk of theft.
During Thursday and probably also next week, the dismantling of the granite wall itself on which the bronze cyclists stood will continue.
The damaged part will be transported to a stone conservatory in Gothenburg that will produce an equivalent.
Meanwhile, the remaining parts of the wall are stored together with the bronze part in Västerås.
