The reason for wanting to sell the homes is because the municipality has a large maintenance debt on its properties.

A sale must be able to generate income that must be invested in maintenance and renovations on other properties owned by the municipality.

- The municipality has said that it is a process that will take time and that they want to meet in individual conversations to see if they can agree.

Somehow the municipality will probably succeed with the sale, but I do not think that everyone will be satisfied, says Camilla Johansson.

The eleven villas are located on Smedvägen in central Bjurholm and the apartments affected are located on Rektorsgatan and in Agnäs.

- We can not buy a house when we are 80 years old.

We will not get a loan either when you are so old, says Karl-Gösta Näslund.

The municipality has previously told SVT that they will not drive any tenant out on the street.

- We can not offer something that does not exist.

We may have to wait for an apartment of the same size to become vacant.

There is a decision now that must be implemented, but we are aware that it can take several years to do so, said Christina Lidström (M) in connection with the decision.
