"Tonight, China and the United States presented a joint Sino-American Glasgow Declaration to step up climate work in the 2020s," RIA Novosti quoted Xie Zhenhua as saying.

Since the beginning of this year, China and the United States have held about 30 virtual meetings, as well as meetings in China and the UK, Zhenhua said.

It is noted that the declaration provides for specific measures that will contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Earlier it was reported that the United States and Russia discussed the reduction of methane emissions.
