"The Moscow City Court overturned the decision of the first instance on Zuev's house arrest and chose him a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period until December 7," TASS reports.

Earlier, Zuev's lawyer said that the investigation had appointed a medical commission to determine the further conditions of Zuev's detention.

On October 13, the Tverskoy District Court ruled to send Zuev to house arrest until December 7.

Rector Shaninka is accused of embezzling over 21 million rubles.
