The report said: "Israel is fighting targets in central Syria, namely the coastal areas of Homs and Tartus provinces. The air defense system has fought back."

A spokesman for the Syrian forces said that two Syrian soldiers were injured in Israeli airstrikes on Homs and Tartus.
