The 57th conference of the International Association of City and Territory Planners includes 5 sub-themes related to contemporary urban planning such as sustainability, inclusion, empowerment, well-being, healthy and smart cities, development, resilience, adaptability, exclusivity and urban connectivity, as well as its main theme entitled "Open Planning: New Times, Better Places and Stronger Communities". .

He believes that the ancient cities were greatly affected by expansions and developments over time, until they became completely different, and lost much of their splendor and landmarks that distinguished them over the years.

Al-Jaidah tells Al-Jazeera Net that the aim of this research presentation is to take the beautiful elements that were present in the old Al Furjan, especially in terms of social, privacy, proximity or the ability to walk to school and shops, and place them in modern, integrated and developed cities.

He stresses that, with this experience, he tried to portray a modern city in which children can play in privacy, and move without fear of cars, especially since modern cities have become cities for cars and not just for pedestrians.

The international conference aims to discuss many planning issues for cities and regions, present global experiences from all continents of the world, review research and technical working papers, as well as study urban centers and their compatibility with sustainable development.

Al-Jaida hopes that the modern Al-Farij will see the light as soon as possible, and that it will be a philosophy of life that is followed in the State of Qatar and the Gulf region, especially as it will collect the beautiful elements in Al-Furjan and the old neighborhoods and place them in a modern integrated city.

Al-Jaidah believes that this research presentation is an important opportunity for all planners and architects from around the world to see all the pioneering experiences of Qatar, and learn about its beautiful characteristics, and how to develop these characteristics in its new cities instead of relying on planners coming from either the West or the East, who put designs that are not theirs. Relationship with our culture and our environment.

He believes that the modern Al-Furjan experience can be implemented immediately and anywhere, especially since Al-Furjan and Al-Harat have existed since ancient times in various countries of the world from east to west, and that the experiment is based on planning that serves humans.
