EU examines the possibility of sanctions against third countries amid the migration crisis

“The EU is exploring the possibility of imposing sanctions, including through blacklisting, against third-country airlines that are involved in human traffic,” said Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission, in a statement.

She also called on the EU states to approve an extended sanctions regime against Belarus as soon as possible in connection with the situation with migrants on the border of the EU countries.
