A man in his forties has been missing at sea since Thursday in Plouézec in the Côtes-d'Armor, indicates the maritime prefecture of the Atlantic.
Around 8 am, the individual had gone for a jet-ski ride.
Worried about not seeing him return, a boater gave the alert on Friday around 4 p.m.
An important search device was then deployed with the presence in the area of two helicopters from the Civil Security and the National Navy as well as rescuers from the SNSM and a land patrol from the national gendarmerie.
A little after 7 p.m., the jet-ski was finally found abandoned at the point of Minard.
"Despite a scrupulous grid of the area, after several hours of research, the man of forty years could not be found", specifies the maritime prefecture.
The device was lifted around 10:15 p.m. Friday evening.
