The man was beaten in an elevator on October 23 at Hisingen.
He was subjected to severe violence to the head and later died at the hospital.
A man in his 30s has previously been detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
As the victim died, the criminal classification was changed to murder.
Earlier this week, two more men were arrested who have now been arrested on suspicion of murder.
