After the "June 13" major gas explosion accident occurred in Shiyan, Hubei, several major gas accidents and typical accidents have occurred in Liaoning, Hebei and other places recently.
On the 4th, the Office of the Security Committee of the State Council issued a notice requesting all localities and relevant departments to deeply learn from the lessons of gas accidents, comprehensively strengthen urban gas safety work, and resolutely reverse the current trend of frequent gas accidents.

The report pointed out that recent gas accidents have exposed a series of outstanding problems and shortcomings. In some places, lessons have not been learned deeply. Some gas companies emphasize development rather than safety, construction safety management is chaotic, and the professional skills of employees are insufficient.

The notification emphasized that it is necessary to quickly carry out special rectification of gas safety, focus on prominent problems, key locations, and key links, establish a ledger and closed-loop management for hidden problems found to ensure that the rectification is in place.
Improve the level of gas safety management, urge various catering companies that use gas to install combustible gas alarm devices as soon as possible, and ensure normal use, strengthen normalized safety inspections for gas companies, strengthen safety training for front-line operators, and carry out commercial and residential operations in accordance with regulations. Door-to-door security inspections and services have accelerated the promotion of liquefied gas cylinder coding and file establishment and automatic identification of filling.
Carry out a comprehensive survey of underground pipeline networks, speed up the renewal and refurbishment of old gas pipelines, strictly enforce access to the gas market, and include companies that focus on development and safety, and only purchase and do not manage companies that cause frequent gas accidents, and are included in the "blacklist" management in accordance with the law.
