Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, announced the launch of the fifth annual session of the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence during the period from 14 to 20 November, at Expo 2020 Dubai, which is organized by the Ministry every year, under the slogan “On the path of Zayed” ».

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said, "This year's National Festival of Tolerance acquires more profound meanings, because it coincides with the UAE's celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary, and also coincides with the convening of (Expo 2020 Dubai), where the UAE embraces the whole world with its hopes, ambitions and challenges, and therefore the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence decided that it be The festival is global in the absolute sense of the word, as most of its activities are organized among all representatives of the world at (Expo 2020 Dubai), and its main initiatives and activities highlight humanitarian issues that affect the interests of all nations and peoples.

He added: "We are very proud that the work of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence is a living embodiment of the words and actions of the founder of the state, the late father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, who was an example and a role model in promoting the principles of tolerance, coexistence, brotherhood, hope and joint action In the state and the world, he was an example of loyalty and belonging to the true religion, the dear homeland and the eternal nation, and he was an example of positive communication with others.

He said, "The attributes of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood are clearly embodied in the actions, sayings and achievements of the country's loyal leaders, for their achievements and initiatives that made the UAE a prestigious position in the world in the areas of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood."

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said: "The Global Alliance for Tolerance will be announced in a historic scene in which everyone pledges to make all possible efforts to promote a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, which is a unique global initiative of its kind, emanating from the UAE to the world."

"Towards a Compassionate World"

He added: "We confirm that all the main events of the festival will be hosted by (Expo 2020 Dubai), where the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence is launching the Interfaith World Summit under the slogan (Towards a Compassionate World) through tolerance and understanding between religions, and this summit is attended by religious leaders from all over the world." .

World Youth Forum

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak continued: "As part of our keenness to convey the message of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue to the world's youth, as they are the most important group in our world, the Ministry will launch the (Global Youth Forum) under the title (From Youth to Thinking about the Future), which sheds light on the world's need. To participate and benefit from the creative abilities of young people of different nationalities and specializations.”

"Voices of Tolerance"

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak added: “The festival, on its first day, emphasizes the importance of having a vibrant actor in arts and music that can carry our message to the conscience of the world everywhere, through the (Voices of Tolerance) initiative, which is a chant of peace, love and sympathy from the Emirates to nations and peoples. All, and 219 people representing the countries of the world participating in (Expo 2020 Dubai) participate in this humanitarian artwork produced by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence.

"Women's rights"

The second day of the festival will be dedicated to highlighting and supporting the efforts of women and their vital role in promoting the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence “locally and globally.” Therefore, the festival will organize the “Tolerance and Inclusion for Women’s Rights” conference, through two panel discussions.
