  According to reports, the Moscow Special Economic Zone was established in 2006, but it took 10 years to get substantive development.

The municipal government provides a series of preferential policies for enterprises settled in the special zone, such as exemption from customs duties, property taxes, transportation taxes and land taxes, and their profit income tax rate is only 2%.

  The "Moscow Science and Technology City" Special Economic Zone is divided into 5 bases, distributed in 5 areas of the capital, with a total area of ​​223 hectares.

At present, 88 companies are stationed in the Science and Technology City, creating more than 8,000 jobs for engineers and other high-quality professionals.

Among these high-tech companies, the top three are microelectronics, information technology, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment companies.

In this year's selection of 70 special economic zones in the world by the British FDI magazine "Annual Global Free Economic Zone" awards, "Moscow Science and Technology City" won the list in the "Development of New Crown-related Medical Technologies and Drugs" industry awards.

  He pointed out that in the first half of this year, the total production value of the science and technology city enterprises was 10.2 billion rubles (1 US dollar is approximately 71 rubles), which was twice that of the same period in 2019; the investment amount exceeded 11.5 billion rubles, which was 1.7 of the total investment in the whole year of 2019.
