- In social networks, a flurry of negativity fell on you about the picture with the Capricorn.

Have you experienced a similar reaction to your posts before?

- I have a thematic page and a grateful audience who are interested in nature and hunting.

This is the first time I've encountered such a scale of negativity.

My account does not violate any laws or social media policies.

A check on the legality of hunting was initiated.

The legality was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Gorno-Altaysk.

There were a lot of calls and messages with support, and they continue to come.

In addition to representatives of the professional hunting community, manufacturers of goods for the hunting industry, there were messages from people who supported me in a purely human way.

- Is ibex popular for hunting?

How difficult is it to get permission for it, how difficult is it to get a ibex?

Is the meat edible?

- The Siberian ibex is a hunting species that lives in mountainous regions; production rates are allocated for it, as for any other hunting species, based on data on the population count.

The limit for the production of Siberian ibex (ibex) for the 2021/22 hunting season, approved by the head of the Altai Republic, is 133 individuals.

The meat is edible.

Mountain hunting is considered one of the most difficult and requires high shooting and physical training from the hunter.

Since this was my first mountain hunt, the preparation took many months.

- What do you think about the detention of the deputy Rashkin, who could have been involved in illegal hunting?

Are there, in your opinion, leverage over poachers, who, moreover, have parliamentary immunity?

- Mechanisms for combating poachers should be uniform regardless of the status of the person.

Poaching is a violation of the law, and every poacher must be held accountable for his actions.

It is a mistake to mix law-abiding hunters and poachers.

Law-abiding hunters, on the other hand, help the workers of the hunting grounds by reporting suspicious or unusual facts.

- Recently, cases of conflicts between poachers and hunting inspectors have become more frequent.

What mistakes do hunting inspectors make, in your opinion?

What norms, amendments could help them to monitor forest lands more vigilantly?

- I believe that an increase in the staff can help hunters, hunt inspectors and gamekeepers in their work.

Indeed, their duties include not only the fight against poaching, but also the registration of the number of animals, constant biotechnical measures aimed at preserving nature.

And the most dangerous part of their job is the detention of poachers.

The legislation does not allow hunting workers to use weapons, which severely limits the possibility of catching poachers.

Also, I would suggest increasing funding for the protection of species that are in the Red Book.

- Do you agree with the statement of Sergei Yastrzhembsky (filmmaker of documentaries about hunting, professional hunter -

RT

) that trophy hunting protects wildlife?

How it works?

- In his film "Hope Shot" on the example of specific countries, he tells in detail how the mechanism for protecting wild animals through the organization of legal nature-saving hunting works: a strictly defined amount of shooting licenses is sold, and the funds from them go to the protection of animals, the fight against illegal shooting and on the development of the economy and social sphere of the regions.

I want to emphasize that all hunters are interested in the conservation of wildlife and its biodiversity.

A real hunter not only takes, but also gives to nature: feeding animals, which is especially relevant in winter without food, building artificial nests for waterfowl, releasing young poultry into the wild.

A real hunter observes the norms of production and does not harm nature.

- How did your passion for hunting start?

How long have you been doing it and why?

- I have been hunting for over seven years.

My first hunting trips were as an observer, without weapons.

Then I saw how deep and interesting the world of wildlife is.

I was interested in hiding, watching, listening, studying the tracks.

Later, after passing all the necessary checks and training, I became the owner of my first hunting weapon.

Yes, there are fewer women in the hunt than men, but I have many female hunters I know.

Hunting personally gives me fullness and integrity, a sense of harmony with nature, teaches responsibility and care for nature.

Of course, in recent decades, the meaning and image of the hunter has undergone dramatic changes.

Firstly, due to the dissemination in the media only of cases of poaching and other violations of the law.

Secondly, due to the lack of information about what hunters are doing to preserve wildlife, as well as the need for hunting in the modern world.

Thirdly, due to the fact that people are far from understanding wildlife and the damage they cause without realizing it.

The biggest misconception is that refusing meat does not harm nature and animals.

Increased consumption of plant products leads to an increase in the area of farmland and plantations, which disrupt ecosystems and deprive wild animals of their habitat.
