Meetings that are booked on and off, meetings that do not give the outcome you thought before.

Classrooms that are double booked and difficulties for teachers to carry out the necessary planning.

This is the image that the teachers convey to the Swedish Work Environment Authority via their union safety representatives.

- The work environment is risky, says Petra Åkerström, chief safety representative at the Swedish Teachers' Association.

"Healthy eyes"

Already a year ago, a first report was made against the school management.

According to it, the work environment was characterized by stress, the management would have a bad attitude towards the teachers and a lack of management.

The safety representatives now think that the situation is not improving fast enough and turned to the Swedish Work Environment Authority for the second time.

- We want healthy eyes to look at the situation, says Petra Åkerström.

Actions already taken

The municipality's school administration defends itself by saying that several measures have already been implemented.

- We do not really agree with the chief safety representatives on how long this should take, but we have a detailed action plan that we work according to, says Christina Kastner Johnson, head of the municipal upper secondary schools.
