On November 4th, local time, the Supreme State Council of the Union of Russia and Belarus held a video conference during which a decree aimed at implementing the integration of the Union countries was signed.

This decree covers 28 industry integration plans, clarifies the basic direction for the implementation of the Russian-Belarusian Union State Treaty from 2021 to 2023. It aims to coordinate macroeconomic strategies and introduce unified taxation principles. Implementation of common policies in the agricultural sector, unified coordination of the oil, natural gas, power and transportation service markets, etc.

  Putin said in the video conference that the implementation of these industry integration plans will help Russia and Belarus create an equal and unified business environment.

  Putin also stated that the two sides will strengthen coordination in all other areas including politics and national defense.

Putin emphasized the importance of creating a stable and secure atmosphere on the external borders of the two countries, saying that Russia and Belarus will jointly resist any attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign countries.

  Lukashenko said that the signing of this decree marks another important step taken by Russia and Belarus on the road of establishing an alliance. The two countries have withstood the test of external pressure, and the Russia-Belarus alliance is becoming stronger.
