After an entire night of chase with the police, a tractor-trailer thief blocked one of the busiest freeways in the Los Angeles area for several hours Thursday morning, before surrendering around 8 a.m. hours, Paris time).
In total, the thief's attempt to escape lasted more than twelve hours and caused massive traffic jams in the middle of rush hour, but did not cause any injuries.

According to images broadcast on local television, the thief was driving slowly, had made sure to fasten his seat belt and used his flashing light.
The crew began shortly after 8:00 p.m. in eastern Los Angeles on Wednesday night, when the suspect stole a heavy truck from a parking lot.
Cut off for four hours
Warned by the driver, the police quickly located the stolen truck on the highway using a helicopter and patrol vehicles chased it. They managed to detonate several of the truck's tires using harrows deployed across the tracks, but the thief did not stop - the semi-trailer had 14 tires - continuing to leak over the bare wheels in showers of sparks.
