04 November 2021 The CGIL is ready for a general strike linked to the Budget Law approved by the government. "In light of the checks on the results of this first phase of mobilization and the responses that may arrive from the Government, to be carried out together with CISL and UIL in November, the General Assembly mandates the national secretariat, in any case, to evaluate and foresee further mobilizations without excluding initiatives and forms of struggle of a general nature ".

This can be read in the document approved by the general assembly of the CGIL on the maneuver.

The Budget Law, "while containing some positive elements such as resources for the renewal of public contracts, health care and the reform of shock absorbers, does not yet represent an adequate and sufficient response to all the requests and proposals of the CGIL, CISL and UIL".

The document approved by the CGIL general assembly starts from the pensions and taxation theme and supports the unitary mobilization process.

To change it, "it commits the structures to immediately prepare an extraordinary campaign of assemblies in the workplace and territories and to field regional and category events and initiatives".
