Since November 1, children with symptoms can stay at preschool, as long as they have been fever-free one day and feel healthy in general.

This pleases many parents of young children, who hope that it will lead to less vab.

"I barely made it go around"

Assistant nurse Michelle Clemmensen from Kungshult outside Eslöv has had to give birth about once a week during the pandemic.

This has led to conflicts with preschool staff as she felt that it did not go together with the job when so much time was spent staying home with the children.

  - My son has asked me if he is not allowed to be in preschool, if they do not like him.

He has not understood and it is difficult to explain to him that we are in a pandemic which means that he has to stay at home, says Michelle Clemmensen.

Can you understand the concern that preschool staff feel about children being able to infect others and staff?

  - Yes, I understand that they are worried but we can not be home all the time.

I also do not want this to continue, so I understand their concerns, says Michelle Clemmensen.

Increase in weapon applications during the pandemic

Last week, 17,339 applications for care of sick children came to Skåne.

In the same week in 2019, before the pandemic, there were 11,424.

At the same time, the average value for the number of applications between week 1 and week 43 has increased by a thousand since 2019.

In the clip above, Michelle Clemmensen talks about how the recommendations for preschool children have affected her and her children.
