In Moscow, the amount of remuneration for blood plasma donors with antibodies to coronavirus has been doubled since November 1, to 10 thousand rubles.

This was stated by the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin during a visit to the site for the preparation of plasma with antibodies to COVID-19 in the building of the branch of the GKB No.

Pirogov.

“We made a decision from November 1, already retroactively, we will recalculate and will pay 10 thousand rubles for one donation.

I think that this will also be an additional material incentive for such a great noble work that our donors are doing, ”TASS quotes Sobyanin.

It is noted that in 2020 Moscow became the first Russian region to begin using donor plasma with antibodies to treat patients with severe COVID-19.

The press service of the mayor specified that 20 thousand people underwent treatment with donor plasma in 1.5 years.

“This plasma saves thousands of people, because after the introduction of this plasma, the number of people who go to intensive care is halved,” the mayor said.

The press service of the mayor and the Moscow government clarified that studies conducted by Moscow doctors revealed that plasma transfusion increases patient survival by 19%, and the need to transfer a patient to mechanical ventilation is halved.

According to the current rules, vaccinated or ill citizens who have Russian citizenship or a residence permit in Russia for a period of at least 1 year can become plasma donors.

The allowed age range is 18 to 55 years old.

There are also requirements for weight - more than 50 kg.

A volunteer should also have no temporary or absolute contraindications to blood donation.

As noted in the press service of the mayor and the government of the capital, over 1.5 years of the program, 30 thousand people became donors.

At the same time, 20% donated plasma again, and 75 donors donated plasma 10 times or more.

Recommendations for those who have COVID-19 in their families

Rospotrebnadzor has issued recommendations for cases when a family member falls ill with coronavirus.

The algorithm of actions is published on the website of the department.

First of all, experts recommended calling a doctor and giving the patient a separate room.

If it is impossible to find a room, then Rospotrebnadzor advises keeping a distance of at least 1 meter from the patient.

“Limit to a minimum contact between the sick and loved ones, especially children, the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases,” the publication notes.

It is recommended to ventilate the area every two hours, keep it clean and wash and disinfect surfaces as often as possible.

The sick person also needs to allocate separate dishes and cutlery, which must be disinfected after each meal.

Along with this, it is required to provide conditions for patients to eat food separately from other family members.

Only one family member should be caring for the patient, he should wear a mask and gloves.

Artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of COVID-19

Artificial intelligence helps Moscow radiologists to identify signs of coronavirus following the results of computed tomography (CT), according to the website of the Moscow Department of Health.

For a year and a half, neural networks have analyzed more than a million studies to diagnose COVID-19.

Thanks to digital services, the average time to obtain an opinion is 6.5 minutes.

In emergency situations, the attending physician receives the radiologist's protocol within five minutes after the examination.

To date, neural networks have helped Moscow radiologists to process more than a million such studies to detect COVID-19.

Research protocols and photographs are available on the mos.ru website and in the UMIAS.INFO application.

It is noted that the research result is provided in the form of a high-quality detailed image in DICOM format, which is accompanied by a program for viewing such images, as well as instructions for its use.
