The US Department of State issued a joint statement.
“We share the grave concern of the international community about the situation in Sudan.
We call for the complete and immediate restoration of the transitional government and institutions under civilian leadership.
We call on all parties to cooperate and work together to achieve this critical task, ”the statement said.
Earlier there was information about the house arrest of the Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk, made by the military.
It is also reported that the ministers of communications, information, finance and industry are among the detainees.
Later, some of the officials were released, including the prime minister.
