An inspection was organized on the fact of smoke pollution at the Baikimskaya mine in Kuzbass

"On this fact, the regional prosecutor's office organized an audit of the implementation of legislation on labor protection and industrial safety, its conduct was entrusted to the Kemerovo interdistrict prosecutor's office to supervise the implementation of laws in the coal mining industry," the prosecutor's office said.

The department added that, according to preliminary data, there are no victims of smoke.

Earlier, Oleg Tokarev, Minister of the Coal Industry of the Kemerovo Region, said that 55 miners were evacuated at the Baikimskaya mine in Kuzbass due to smoke.
