"At 14:50 Moscow time, the An-12 aircraft, flying from Yakutsk to Irkutsk, disappeared from the radar," a representative of the emergency services told the agency.
According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, there were presumably eight people on board.
The department added that the plane is cargo.
In September, an An-26 plane disappeared from radar in the Khabarovsk Territory.
Later, a helicopter EMERCOM of Russia discovered the wreckage of the crashed plane.
As a result of the crash, the entire An-26 crew of six people died.
