CAIRO -

Hours after a horrific murder on the side of the road in broad daylight in the city of Ismailia, Egypt, in which the killer beheaded the dead man, another no less heinous crime took place in the Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, north of Cairo, where an 18-year-old student was beheaded colleague.

According to what was published by the government newspaper Al-Ahram, the preliminary investigations of the Kafrelsheikh First Division Investigation Department revealed that the victim had a quarrel with three of his colleagues due to disagreements between them in front of a private tutoring center, and one of them broke a bottle and used it to injure him with a fatal cut in the street. His neck took his life instantly.

The second incident came after a short interval of a person killing a man in the middle of a street in the city of Ismailia, one of the cities of the Suez Canal (east of the capital Cairo), then he separated his head from his body and walked with him in an unprecedented scene that took several minutes amid the panic and panic of passersby who did not They manage to prevent crime and seem to have just watched it.

The security forces did not reach the place until after the killer completed his crime, and walked for several minutes with the head of the dead man on the main street, and he also hit two passersby with a machete (a huge sword-like knife) in his hand, according to what was documented by video clips that filled the communication sites, but Al Jazeera Net did not She prefers to present it to her readers because of the ugliness of the accident.

In a brief statement, the Ministry of Interior announced, “a psychologically shaken arrest in Ismailia, who was previously detained in a clinic for addiction treatment, after he assaulted a worker with a machete, which led to the separation of his head and he was babbling with incomprehensible words.” In the incident of the killing of the victim and the injury of two others on the main road in Ismailia, a team from the Public Prosecution office moved to the scene of the accident to inspect and debate the body, and the results of the investigations were announced at a later time.

Two revealing crimes

These two crimes shed light not only on the increase in crime rates in the country, but also on their taking this horrific form, which some attributed to "maximizing" the state of bullying in the Egyptian drama and its reflection on the Egyptian street.

The increasing crime in society has also opened the door to its relationship with the political, security, religious and economic conditions, where the poverty rate is about 30%, or more than 30 million people, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Murder rates in the governorates of Greater Cairo increased by about 10 percent last September, compared to the same month last year, according to what was monitored by the "Al-Ahram Gate", in a report that monitors the most prominent murders.

According to the statistics of the government newspaper Al-Ahram website, 34 murders took place in the governorates of Greater Cairo (Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia), committed by 42 defendants, including 11 women and children, while the number of victims reached 34 deaths, including 11 women and 5 children.

According to the Numbeo classification for measuring crime rates among countries, Egypt ranked 59th globally and 18th in Africa for the mid-2021 statistics.

In January 2019, a report by the Public Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior revealed an increase in crime rates, as the level of crimes increased by 5 percent in 2015, by 7 percent in 2016, and 10 percent in early 2017, and in 2018, the rates increased by 5 percent. .

The report attributed the reasons for the high crime rates to the spread of firearms, the release of a large number of criminal elements, the prevalence of social violence, and the effects resulting from artworks from films and series.

According to the report, the reasons included the formation of new gang formations of unemployed youth, and what the Ministry of Interior shortened to call it “economic conditions”, the ease of some people carrying out theft crimes due to citizens’ lack of means of securing their property, and the absence of social and cultural awareness, as well as the exploitation of some by the war waged by the state. on "terrorism".

A study issued by Ain Shams University, which was published by Al Jazeera in a previous topic, revealed that family murders alone now constitute a quarter to a third of the total murders, and that modern economic policies are among the main reasons for doubling family murder rates, because of the problems these policies have caused. serious social and economic.

Another study by the National Center for Criminal and Social Research confirmed that 92 percent of these crimes are committed out of honor and honor, as well as economic factors that have become among the main reasons for the doubling of family murder rates.

According to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Shorouk, Samia Khader, professor of sociology at Ain Shams University, attributed the reasons for the increase in the crime rate to several reasons, including addiction, unemployment and the media. She said in previous press statements, that drugs are one of the factors that cause violence in its various forms in society, And that it can be accompanied by unemployment, and consequently the lack of a stable income for the addict, in the presence of special ambitions offset by poverty and economic deficit, which often lead him to commit crimes.

alarming

Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University, Dr. Ahmed Karima, warned in a televised interview on the Egyptian Channel One, that the pattern of crime and loss of life in recent times has taken an alarming trend, calling on the clergy to exercise their enlightening role.

On the economic level, economist Dr. Alaa El-Sayed said that the deterioration of the living conditions of at least 30 million Egyptians is a moral disaster by all standards, and an important factor in the occurrence and spread of crime.

He added, in statements to Al-Jazeera Net, that in addition to the spread of unemployment, high prices, ignorance, fanaticism, the spread of drugs of all kinds, and unequal opportunities, crime becomes the only way out for a large segment of society.

Art in the dock

Art did not escape accusations against him, especially after the Egyptian drama, during the past few years, played a negative role in raising “bullying”, according to artist Hisham Abdullah, who confirmed that such actions were intended for themselves, adding to Al Jazeera Net, that the bullying drama The actions of some famous young artists, such as Muhammad Ramadan, incite violence, demolish societal values, and portray society as a scene of violence, in addition to the absence of religious and moral scruples in the media.

Director Islam Asi agreed with him, pointing out that drama plays a role in creating violence in some people in society, and after many famous young artists assumed the role of thugs, some sought to imitate those models on the ground.

Speaking to Al-Jazeera Net, Assi expressed his regret at the repetition of this type of work, which has become of great interest to Egyptian and Arab producers, so you find many Arab horror and violence films these days as if they are the fashion and the new approach of the Arab film industry.

On the security side, some tweeters criticized the inaction of the security services in protecting the security of the citizen, which some media professionals close to the authority tried to deny, stressing that the security forces played their role in arresting the killer, and even trying to blame the people.

The journalist Ahmed Moussa, during his program broadcast on the "Echo of the Country" satellite channel, expressed his regret, three times, for the people of the city of Ismailia to stand by and watch the crime and not to prevent its occurrence or its completion in this hideous way, he said.

On the occasion of today's crime, the truth cannot be blamed on the people for not interfering during the crime, because it is not normal for people walking in the street to intervene to resist a criminal who had a weapon and it was normal that he was killed again. I can only blame the role of the police

#Ismailia, too, on the weight of the film of the late Youssef Chahine, because an Ismaili crime will be repeated, not because it is just a crime, no, because criminality in our country is virtuous, and power prevails

(society's violence is from the violence of life, and the violence of life is from the violence of society)!

I appeal to everyone who cares about this people to turn to the treatment of the causes of bullying

What happened, this is not the case. Today, this is from the day Hosni Mubarak called us his thugs in order to teach us the value of the fake security we were living in.. One day, Nakhnokh, scholars and intellectuals were released from prisons.. One day, Muhammad Ramadan remained a legend and the sheikhs of the Sultan Occupiers of television #Ismailia

This is what corrupt media, rude art, distance to God's limits, and honoring prostitutes and prostitutes have produced.

Every day we hear and see a more heinous crime than the one before it, and children and youth glorify the loser Muhammad Ramadan and those like him and follow their example!

God suffices us, and He is the best agent.
