“We are working towards raising the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons,” RIA Novosti quoted Ryabkov as saying at the Fort Ross Dialogue forum.
According to him, Russia hopes that the US nuclear strategy will develop in such a way that the concerns of the Russian side are removed.
He added that recently, the United States has deliberately introduced additional ambiguity in the question of under what circumstances the use of nuclear weapons would be possible.
Earlier, Sergei Ryabkov suggested that the United States send diplomatic staff to Moscow so that "at least consular services are provided in a more or less normal volume."
