"The degree of secrecy of information constituting a state secret must correspond to the severity of damage that may be caused to the security of Russia as a result of the dissemination of this information," the document says.
As specified, the decree will enter into force on January 1, 2022.
In October, the Federal Security Service approved a list of information that does not belong to the state secret, but can be used by foreign states or citizens against the security of Russia.
