Covid: over 5 million victims worldwide

52 new deaths have also been recorded, for a total of 15,990, also a very high number in a country of only 11 million inhabitants.
Government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou stressed that the priority is to increase the number of vaccinated people, which today stands at only 60.5% of the population.
"As long as there are unvaccinated people, the virus finds fertile ground to spread, he said.
