Party member voting for the People's Power presidential candidate is recording an explosive turnout with the start of today (1st).

According to the party secretariat, the turnout of party members reached 20% around 10 am today.

This is a figure that is nearly 5 percentage points higher than in the previous secondary primary.

At the time of the second primary primary, the final voter turnout was 49.94%, a new record high, and it is predicted that this time it will cross the 60% line and approach the 70% level.

"In order to further inflame the people's strong desire for regime change, our party's presidential candidate must be elected with greater strength from the party members," said Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the party, at the highest level today.

He also encouraged party members to vote on Facebook, saying, "If the voter turnout exceeds 70%, I will cut off carbohydrates for a month."

Some analysts say that this vote could lead to a generational confrontation.

It is observed that the 2030 generations, who joined in large numbers under this representative system, will each cast their votes against Rep. Hong Jun-pyo, and those in their 50s, who are considered the mainstream in the party, will each cast their votes against former President Yoon.

Among the so-called 'online party members' introduced through the Internet, the proportion of the 2030 generation is high, and their turnout is expected to approach 90%.

Former President Yoon's side is expected to gain an overwhelming advantage in the party's heart.

“Among the electoral college, ‘203040’ is 35%, and people in their 50s and over 65%,” said an official on the phone.

Kim Geun-sik, head of the camp's vision strategy department, said on the radio, "Last week, I returned the phone to about 1,000 members of the responsible party."

On the other hand, Rep. Hong's side is of the view that it is worthwhile to compete with the party based on the clear advantage of the people.

An official from the camp said, "Ex-president Yoon has a single-digit approval rating in 203040," and said, "It is not at all in a situation where Congressman Hong is greatly pushed back even in his 50s and older."

Another official said, "In the case of online party members, it is difficult for the chairman of the party association to influence."
