An 83-year-old man, living in Valsonne in the Rhône, died Sunday morning in his field, trampled by one of his cows, reports

According to the daily, the animal had just given birth and attacked the octogenarian for an unknown reason.
The alert was given by his wife, worried that her husband would not return home.
It was then that the gendarmes discovered the tragedy.
No investigation will be opened by the gendarmes, the thesis of the accident not being in doubt, writes
