Frederiksen announced this on the sidelines of the UN climate conference in Glasgow.

“The Danish government is still opposed to Nord Stream 2,” TASS quoted her as saying.

She added that the situation on the energy markets did not change the position of the Danish government.

At the same time, she said that Denmark's issuance of a permit for the construction of Nord Stream 2 was a "technical moment", and the government's position "was always obvious."

In early October, the Danish Energy Agency announced that Nord Stream 2 AG had fulfilled the conditions for putting the second string of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline into operation.
