Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, the leader of the People's Power, has decided to visit Gwangju after the election.

A key camp official said in a media call today (1st), "After discussing with the leadership after the party's presidential candidates are confirmed, we have come to the conclusion that it is better to visit Gwangju."

Former President Yoon previously announced that he would visit Gwangju after a TV discussion in order to apologize for the controversial remarks about 'Chun Doo-hwan's defense' and 'dog apology' on SNS.

A plan to visit Gwangju tomorrow, as former President Yoon himself showed his will to apologize repeatedly even during the primary election, was strongly considered, but it is known that the plan was rejected by the majority of his staff.

Park Joo-sun, a former vice-chairman of the National Assembly, who recently declared his support for former President Yoon, as a representative leader of Honam, also said that "it would be better to come down after the presidential election is confirmed."

An official said in the phone call, "There were many opinions that we should make a meaningful schedule rather than rushing to Gwangju to avoid it."

After visiting Suwon, Gyeonggi Province today, former President Yoon plans to visit the Chungcheong region and northern Gyeonggi Province during the remainder of the election to meet with party members and appeal for their support.
