Good evening,

what have you been doing for the first time after all the lockdowns? A visit to a museum? An extensive shopping spree? A vacation flight? The list of the first times doesn't end here. On the weekend the Brand Gala took place for the first time in the Alte Oper. Well, that's only interesting for the advertising industry now, but the guests were so grateful that they were allowed to dress up again - they applauded one of the guests, Thomas Gottschalk, standing and hooting after his speech. What does Gottschalk have to do with the advertising industry? Not a lot, but without further ado it was honored as a “Living Brand”. It's nice that you can really celebrate again in a fine evening dress and suit.

And in the Tigerpalast, too, you know, the vaudeville theater on Frankfurt's Heiligkreuzgasse was premiered. The joy of reunion of the artists and the audience was mutual, and there were many reasons to be amazed, as the colleague Eva-Maria Magel sent there reports: "There is a lot of space for Ohs in the first show after 19 months."

The world climate conference in Glasgow, which started on Sunday, is not a show, but a thoroughly serious matter. On this occasion, our environmental expert Mechthild Harting conducted an interview with one of the best experts on the Hessian environment, namely Thomas Schmid, President of the Hessian State Office for Nature Conservation, Environment and Geology. "If we don't do anything, the hot summer of 2018 would become the rule," he says. “And there are summers that would be even hotter.” Unfortunately, people are inconsistent: “There is broad consensus in society on the issues of climate change and climate protection. But if it leads to personal concern, then it may look different than it does now when gasoline and diesel prices rise. "Let's see.how consistent the politicians are in Glasgow - the Hessians also look carefully there.

And there was also a

fire in the region four times over the weekend, including in a shop on the Zeil in Frankfurt
