October 31, 2021 The question of Taiwan - which China considers a rebel province to be reunified with the motherland - at the center of the bilateral between the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.



Blinken told Wang that the US is concerned about Beijing's stance on Taiwan, which is escalating tensions in the area. The American media reported this, citing State Department officials, after the face to face between the two ministers on the sidelines of the G20 in Rome. 



The one-hour interview was described by the Americans as "sincere, constructive and productive", although Blinken was clear in expressing the concerns of the US government. However, it wants to maintain an open line of communication with Beijing.
