Mr. Ichiro Ozawa, a former member of the Constitutional Democratic Party who served as the secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party and the representative of the Democratic Party, could not secure a seat in the Iwate 3rd district of the single-seat constituency.


Mr. Ozawa is running for the Tohoku block of proportional representation, and will wait for the result of proportional representation.

Mr. Ozawa is 79 years old.

He ran for the first time in the House of Representatives election in 1969 from the Liberal Democratic Party and was elected for the first time.



Mr. Ozawa served as the secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party at the young age of 47, but he left the party in 1993 and realized the first non-Liberal Democratic government by forming the Japan Renewal Party.



After serving as the representative of the Democratic Party of Japan, he served as the secretary general of the Democratic Party of Japan, which was born in 2009, but then left the party over raising the consumption tax rate.

I have been a member of the Constitutional Democratic Party since September last year.



While he became a key player in stealing power from the Liberal Democratic Party twice and was called a strong arm, he repeatedly dismissed and left the party he formed and took the nickname of "breaker".



In this election, Mr. Ozawa promoted a movement centered on a strong supporter organization and appealed for a change of government, but in the Iwate 3rd district of the small constituency, it was not as good as Mr. Takashi Fujiwara, a former member of the Liberal Democratic Party.
