October 31, 2021 China's new foray into Taiwan's Defense airspace, while Beijing's Foreign Minister Wang Yi meets US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Rome.

Eight fighter planes of the Chinese People's Liberation Army - writes the Agi - have violated the island's Defense airspace, according to reports from the Taipei Defense Ministry, six of which are J-16 fighters.

The total number of aircraft registered is the highest in recent days, although it remains a long way from the peaks of the beginning of the month when, in just five days, 150 Chinese fighter jets violated the defense airspace of the island, on which Beijing claims sovereignty and that it says it is ready to reunify with China.

The incursion was reported shortly after the meeting on the sidelines of the G20 in Rome between China and the United States, where the Taiwan question played a leading role: in just under an hour of talks, the head of the US diplomacy, Antony Bliken, warned Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that the United States opposes China's "unilateral" actions on the island and any change in the status quo in the Taiwan Strait
