October 28, 2021 "There is one more thing I want to talk to you about today."

With these words Mark Zuckerberg announces the name change of the Facebook company, which "is now Meta".

The name Meta is inspired by the Greek, 'beyond'.

So Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the annual Connect event.

"From now on it will be first the metaverse (metaverse first), not before Facebook (Facebook first)", he remarked in reference to the new name.

In developing the metaverse it will be necessary to build "security and privacy".

Thus the CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg presenting the metaverse.

Zuckerberg pointed out that the company has commissioned and is conducting numerous studies on "security, privacy and inclusion" of the metaverse.
