The Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic issued a statement on the 27th, stating that China strongly condemns and resolutely opposes this and will make a legitimate and necessary response.
The statement pointed out that there is only one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory, and the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China.
The one-China principle is the universally recognized basic norm of international relations and the universal consensus of the international community, and it does not allow any distortion or challenge.
The Taiwan issue is purely China's internal affair, and no external interference is allowed.

The despicable manipulation of the Czech minority and the provocation of "independence" by the Taiwan authorities are doomed to fail.
We urge a few people in the Czech Republic to change their course as soon as possible, return to abiding by the one-China political commitment, and maintain and develop China-Czech relations with a responsible attitude and action.
