The Russian Ministry of Finance advocated tougher criminal liability in the area of illegal production and sale of alcohol, said Alexander Korobutov, Deputy Director of the Department of Customs Policy and Alcohol Market Regulation of the Ministry of Finance.
According to RIA Novosti, he said this during a meeting in the Federation Council on measures to combat illegal production and circulation of alcoholic beverages.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed to establish state regulation of the turnover of methanol in Russia.
