We have been able to link sixteen ads to the suspects and at least nine women, says Victoria Engelkes, prosecutor.
The three people who are now being prosecuted were arrested at the beginning of March 2021. They were subsequently arrested and on Thursday afternoon charges were brought against them regarding aggravated procuring and aggravated money laundering.
- About ten women who come from South and Central America are plaintiffs.
The women have been ruthlessly exploited to sell sexual services in Uppsala, Västerås, Örebro and Stockholm, but also in other parts of Sweden.
The suspects are believed to have earned millions from conducting organized sex trafficking, says Niklas Terlinder.
