President Biden attended a meeting with ASEAN leaders for the first time in four years as a US president.

In the presence of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, he fired a direct blow at China, bringing up Taiwan, the South China Sea, and human rights issues.

In particular, he said that he was concerned about China's coercive action against Taiwan and emphasized that the United States made a rock-solid promise to Taiwan.

Earlier, President Biden was evaluated as different from the strategic ambiguity in the past when he remarked that the US would have a duty to defend if China attacks Taiwan.

In response, Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen said in an interview with CNN that he "really believes" that U.S. forces will help defend Taiwan.

He even admitted for the first time that US troops were stationed there to help train Taiwanese troops.

[Taiwan/President Tsai Ing-wen: (How many US troops are in Taiwan?) Not as many as people think.]

President Tsai's remarks are interpreted as an attempt to make the US defense of Taiwan a reality.

China is raising its warning level not to cross the red line.

[Wang Wenbin / Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China: People who divide the country never have a good end.

Taiwan's independence is the path of death, and we support it as well.]

Two days ago, for the first time, even an attack helicopter was put into the Taiwan Air Defense Identification Zone.

The United States has also appealed to the international community for support of Taiwan's participation in the UN system.

In the midst of the US-China conflict, Taiwan is turning into a gunpowder that never knows when it will explode.
